Age is just a number

I met somebody the other day
Who asked me to act my age!!
I told him I am an actor
Just give an audience and a stage :-)

I asked him what kind of tempo he had in mind
I could pack my day with sweet nothings
Or have a day, the"bucket list" kind

I could act his kind of 40 years
as a man waiting for his end
Or I could act like those live wires
Who are buzzing and sparking
as if each moment is God sent

I didn't wait to retire to purchase a rocking chair
Neither do I plan to stop rocking when I retire somewhere
I didn't stop playing with tracks, when I had kids
I still act like a dad when my papa has his childish blitz

I dress as I please, I socialise with ease
I live, like I feel, and don't need your approval or seal
I am an actor and I act only on stage
But off stage, no masks, whatever my age
