On a crowded day in the airport
When long queues ruled the roost
A smile transformed my experience
Her friendly exchange gave a boost

I am a sucker for compliments,
specially during Monday blues
Coming from a beautiful stranger
suddenly it seemed Friday so soon

To deal with each customer
With mindfulness is easier said than done
But if this is the attitude we carry
Then repeat customer's can be won

Was it done for a feedback online?
Or for a corporate's "extra mile"!
But I accept the courtesy, nowdays
smiles only come once in a while
