Dear God
Let me not define myself
based on imaginary lines and shelves
Let me not increase my head girth
for my random place of birth
Let me not fly two inches in the air
For a genetically endowed flair
Let me not inculcate false pride
Based on the color of my hide
Let me not obnoxiously swell
For doing academicly very well
Let me not stand on a pedestal
When I get a chance to lead or make the call
Where my self belief ends
and my arrogance shows
Where my pride makes way
For the ego to go blow
Just show me a sign
To highlight that fine line
or just give me a kick
If sign doesn't do the trick
Thank You
