Self Righteous

Self righteous people are an interesting breed
They find faults scattered like jamun seeds,
With purple flesh squashed all over the street
They find faults in everyone's deeds

In beautiful girls and their cute smiles,
In close friends and their fashion styles
In talented guys and their artistic skills
In elderly relatives and their dramatic frills

Do I fall into this same breed
Cos' I too am quick in spotting a weed
My own faults,  I cover it well
 "I am late because last time you were"
"I am rude because you deserve it sir! "

Self righteous people are an interesting breed
They sanctimonious piety and hypocritical ideals
Ridiculously pompous and very funny indeed
But maybe I too should check my idealistic creed
