Coconut Tree

I stand like a coconut tree tall
But bend when winds bears down on me
In all the chaos a few nuts will fall
But no storm can uproot me

My roots are spread deep
In salty water I can survive
Tide in the twilight may creep
But no waves can take me alive

I bear sweet fruit
But am wary of others greed
my tenderness is encompassed
In three layers of fibrous shield

If you reach my heart, we could
together sway with the breeze
We will daily watch the sunset
Till the day our life will cease
