The Road well travelled

I want a life less complicated
And want to stop taking
the road less travelled. 
I seem to be the only one
getting so many mysteries
dumped on me to unravel.

Take for instance my travel
I keep getting an incident
to send shudders down my spine
Then I make a new friend
Who turns out too weird,
drugged or too sloshed with wine.

I return to my job
expecting things to be normal
as a perfect summer day
But my choices come back to haunt me,
My job, my colleagues,my landlord
and the autowalas on the way

Shopping and clothes are not jinxed yet
The retail God is by my side
But relationships and career
are so badly screwed up
I have no clue how to decide

I seem confused at times, because I am
I seem exasperated, well that too
I think I should behave like sheep
and follow an old trail
which is mundane with nothing new
