Estranged

---------------
Silence stood at the door
Waiting for true love to leave
She only threw tantrums
When she wanted to forgive
The day she understood
It was hopeless to hope
Silence walked into a cold heart
Just like a himalayan slope
Home became a house
The house became a jail
The dal became tasteless
Life soon turned stale
Many months passed by
Before he came to realise
His wife didn't love him anymore
She was being indifferently nice
The fights had long stopped
He had thought she had changed
What he didn't realise
That she had become estranged
Marriage can run on one wheel
For some time only my friend
But dragging it along for years
Can leave it bruised and bent
I wish I could end the poem with hope
But tragically not a chance of a dream
Somethings are better gathering dust
Reviving may tear her at the seam
